Our Mission

Our Mission:
The mission of Glory Ministries is to evangelize and to teach. We provide multi-media avenues of evangelization (showing people how to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ) and teaching (showing people how to experience spiritual growth).

Why We Exist:

Glory Ministries exists in response to Jesus’ words in The Great Commission:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
(Matthew 28:19-20a NIV)

Jesus urges us to:

• Go
• Make disciples
• Baptize
• Teach

Go:

We want to evangelize the entire world, proclaiming the gospel message:

Jesus said his followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.” (Mark 16:15 NCV)

Make disciples:

We want people to become followers of Jesus Christ:

Later, as Jesus left the town, he saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at his tax-collection booth. “Come, be my disciple!” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him.

Baptize:

We want people to be baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit:

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved.
(Mark 16:16a NLT)

Teach:

We want to teach people how to grow spiritually as we grow in relationship with Jesus:

Every day they spent time in the temple and in one home after another. They never stopped teaching and telling the good news that Jesus is the Messiah. (Acts 5:42 CEV)

Statement of Faith

We believe the creeds of orthodox Christianity, i.e., the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed which have been proclaimed by true Christians from the time of the apostles and Church Fathers to the present.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God,
      the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ,
      his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the
      power of the Holy Spirit
      and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried.
      He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven
      and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge
      the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic Church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and life everlasting.
      Amen

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
      maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
      the only Son of God eternally begotten of the Father,
      God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
      begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father.
      Through him all things were made.
      For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
      he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
      he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
      and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
      He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
      and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
      who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
      With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
      He has spoken through the Prophets.
      We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
      We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
      We look for the resurrection of the dead,
      and the life of the world to come.
